Doula Services

Doula Service Complete Package:

At least 2 antenatal meetings (approx 2 hours each)

I will be on call between weeks 38 through to 42

Support throughout labour & birth (Home or Hospital Births)*

2 postnatal visits

Birth Preparation Session Only:

One-to-one preparation time for your birth. I will come to your home and assist you where needed in the planning and preparation of your impending labour and birth.

I can help draw up a birth plan and inform you of all the choices you have as a pregnant woman in labour. I also have a variety of different birth books that can be loaned to you.

We can review your previous births and experiences to mentally prepare you for this birth.

Postnatal Doula Only:

As your postnatal Doula, I will spend a minimum of 3 hours per day (2 - 3 times a week), for up to 6 weeks (or more if needed) helping you enjoy being a new mum and the first special moments with your newborn.

Whether it be helping you with your baby, giving you time for a much needed rest or simply getting some bread and milk in the fridge! I will be there to support you both mentally and physically.

Each Mother's requirement is different, therefore each postnatal package will be tailored to suit the needs of the mother. We can talk through these needs once your baby has arrived or before. 


* please note a doula is not there to replace a midwife but to compliment her and provide continuity for the pregnant mother and father through emotional and practical support.

A good guide to whether I can cover your birth, is that I will travel approx 1 hour from Northampton. Here are some of the hospitals within that criteria. If you cannot see somewhere please do still get in touch, I may be able to do it or pass your details on to other doulas that can.
